EARLY SUMMER FORAGING WITH MICHAEL WACHTER - THURSDAY 22ND MAY 2025
In this seasonal workshop you will learn how to forage safely for wild ingredients with expert forager Michael Wachter. Michael will take you on a walk through the fields and along hedgerows in our beautiful corner of East Sussex and teach you about our wild pantry. We will sustainably gather edible early summer greens such as spruce tips, nettles, cleavers, grasses, and buds as we walk from the Bell in Ticehurst. Michael will lead us in exploring how to make cold infusions and extract some of the medicinal qualities of these plants, as well as learn about meadow ecology.
Working with plants in this way allows you to slow down and really connect with your surroundings and the seasons.
The course runs from 10am to 1pm starting from the Bell and includes snacks.
This course requires a certain level of fitness in order to complete the walk and sensible shoes are recommended.
Should you be unable to attend, for whatever reason - we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. You are welcome to transfer your course to friends or family, please let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively we will try to sell your place via our database and social media once the course has reached capacity. If successful, we will refund or offer an alternative course subject to availability. Please note we will deduct a 10% admin charge for any refunds that are made.
