YES YOU CAN KNIT WITH ELSPETH EVANS - TUESDAY 21st JANUARY 2025

£120.00

Knitting has seen a resurgence in popularity as more people relish simple joys of making something with their hands. Knitting is a rewarding and practical skill and once you get the hang of it your ambition won't rest with a beanie hat.

This one day workshop is for anyone who has never picked up a pair of needles, or want to graduate from rectangles of various sizes! You will learn the fundamental skills of casting on, knitting purl and plain stitch, decreasing stitches, as well as the sometimes confusing world of knitting terminology. By the end of this day, not only will you have a lovely soft hat made from British Merino wool, you’ll have taken the first steps to becoming a brilliant knitter. (matching jumpers for Christmas 2025 anyone?) Learn different ways to rib and choose from 4 colours of top quality wool. (Oxford Blue, Mulberry, Olive or Mustard)

The course includes all the materials you need, including needles to take home, refreshments, and a light lunch.

The course starts at 10am, finishing around 3.30pm.

Should you need a place to rest your head, for a very special experience, enjoy a night or three at The Bell in Ticehurst. If you would like to bring a partner who doesn’t want to do a course, there are plenty of great things to do locally – a perfect staycation to explore the delights of the Kent/Sussex countryside or our favourite arty places locally. Accommodation is subject to availability so please BOOK DIRECT with The Bell - by calling 01580 200300 or booking on their website. Please let them know you are attending a course.

Should you be unable to attend, for whatever reason - we are unable to offer refunds for our courses. You are welcome to transfer your course to friends or family, please let us know who will be attending in your place. Alternatively we will try to sell your place via our database and social media once the course has reached capacity.
